New Delhi, 23 August (NNS): Here, turmeric erode gatha asitis fell down by Rs 100 to Rs 15500 per quintal due to the feeble offtake at the higher level. During the previous day, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. There are about 3200 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract went up by Rs.56 or 0.35 percent to Rs.16,220 per quintal because of the limited speculative buying. There is no possibility of downtrend in the spot turmeric prices during the near future.
