New Delhi, 24 August (NNS): The enquiry of small cardamom has been started increasing at the lower level. On the other hand, its arrivals reported to be weak by 5/7 percent during the last two days at the auction centres, due to which, there is no possibility of downtrend in the prices. It is also believable that there is a shortage of stock in the markets and the trade does not seems favourable on seeing the ongoing rainfall and floods. Despite all this, there is still long time left in the arrival of the new stock and the upcountry demand reported to be improved at the lower level, on seeing this, the prices may not show more downtrend, in these circumstances, the prices may not show more downtrend. Presently, small cardamom which was being sold at Rs 1700/1750 per kg and now, the market may show increase by Rs 100/150 per kg during the near future.
