New Delhi, 25 August (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis went up by Rs 200 to Rs 15500 per quintal due to the improved offtake at the higher level. During the previous day, the prices have gone down in the same ratio. There are about 9000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices declined by Rs 200 per quintal. The active contract ascended by Rs 270 or 1.68 percent to Rs 16350 per quintal because of the limited speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices may likely to remain strong during the coming days.
