New Delhi, 27 September (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis declined by Rs 200 to Rs 13700 per quintal owing to the sluggish sale even after the weak prices. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 300 per quintal. There were about 3000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level during the previous day. The active contract descended by Rs 280 or 2.05 percent to Rs 13400 per quintal owing to the constant speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric price may not likely to increase during the coming days.
