New Delhi, 08 November (NNS): The prices of cumin jumped by Rs 75/650 per 20 kg because of the increased buying before the holidays of Diwali. There are around 3000/3500 bags of cumin reported to arrive. Here, its prices remained stable at Rs 49500 per quintal due to the sluggish buying. During previous day, the prices have gone up by Rs 500 per quintal. The active contract reduced by Rs 905 or 2.01 percent to Rs 44,100 per quintal. The cumin market will likely to be close from 10 -16 November on the occasion of Diwali, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot cumin prices will likely to remain strong during the coming one or two days.
