New Delhi, 09 November (NNS): Before the starting of the Diwali vacations in Unjha, around 3500/4000 bags of cumin reported to arrive and the prices rose by Rs 50 per 20 kg. In contrary to this, its prices fell down by Rs 1000 to Rs 48500 per quintal because of the heavy selling from the stockists. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 500 per quintal. The active contract rose by Rs 420 or 0.99 percent to Rs 42955 per quintal due to the increased buying from the speculators. It is expected that the trading activities will likely to start from 17th November in Unjha, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is a possibility of fluctuations in the prices of cumin during the coming one or two days.
