New Delhi, 10 November (NNS): The Diwali holidays have already been started from today in the Erode mandi of Tamil Nadu. During the previous day, there were around 6500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices had stable at the level of the last day. Here, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis remained stable at Rs 13200 per quintal due to the sluggish buying. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 500 per quintal. The active contract softened by Rs 6 or 0.04 percent to Rs 13500 per quintal owing to the sluggish buying from the speculators. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
