New Delhi, 20 November (NNS): The selling of cumin seems constant from the stockists during the last week, due to this reason, here, its prices dropped down by Rs 1500 to Rs 45000 per quintal. However, the prices have gone up by Rs 1000 per quintal. In Unjha, there are about 3000/3500 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices rose by Rs 50 per 20 kg. The active contract jumped by Rs 2570 or 5.97 percent to Rs 45600 per quintal owing to the all-round speculative buying. The market sentiments may affect owing to the sluggish sowing of the new crop. The spot cumin prices will likely to remain sluggish during the near future.
