New Delhi, 29 December (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis remained stable at Rs 13500 per quintal due to the sluggish offtake sale even after the decrement during the previous days. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 100 per quintal. There were around 6300 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract softened by Rs 18 or 0.13 percent to Rs 14180 per quintal owing to the sluggish speculative buying. The market sentiments may affect due to the sluggish trading activities from 2 January. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
