New Delhi, 22 February (NNS): The new crop of small cardamom has been started arriving in Guatemala and there, the crop also reported to be good. Now, the trade should not be done at the higher level on seeing the quality and the arrivals in the markets, but there is no possibility of more downtrend in the prices. Presently, the prices of small cardamom slipped by Rs 25/50 to Rs 1600/2300 per kg owing to the sluggish demand. The arrivals also went down by 2 percent at the auction centres during the last three days. Now, the demand seems feeble in the markets and the trade has not been favourable as per the weather. The new stock has also been started arriving in Guatemala, but the prices may not show more downtrend on seeing the higher prices.
