New Delhi, 06 March (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis rose by Rs 400 to Rs 15000 per quintal due to the strong offtake even after the higher prices. Recently, the prices have jumped by Rs 600 per quintal. Around 5500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices remained stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract went up by Rs 170 or 1 percent to Rs 17010 per quintal due to the increased speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices may likely to remain strong during the near future.
