New Delhi, 30 March (NNS): Today, the prices of small cardamom went down by Rs 25/50 per quintal after the uptrend in the prices of Rs 50/75 per quintal during the last some days. There is no possibility of more downtrend in the prices at the current level. The arrivals of small cardamom reduced by 6 percent during the last 15 days at all the auction centres, due to which, there is no possibility of more decrement in the prices. It is also true that the demand seems sluggish and the crop will likely to remain week because of the constant rainfall. The market showed heavy up trend After the arrival of the new crop during the current season, which seems problematic during the last five months and there is no possibility of more decrement in the prices at the current level. The inferior quality stock also ruling at Rs 1350/-375 per kg and the prices may not show more down trend. Today, the upcountry demand showed improved trend at the lower level, on seeing this, the prices may not show more down trend but it is expected that it may increase by Rs 100/150 per kg.
