New Delhi, 22 April (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis dropped down by Rs 200 to Rs 16700 per quintal due to the increased profit taking selling from the stockists even after the higher level. Its prices went up by Rs 1300 per quintal as compared to the previous week. There were around 2300 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract gained by Rs 232 or 1.25 percent to Rs 18820 per quintal owing to the increased speculative buying. The profit taking selling will be constant during the coming one or two days.
