New Delhi, 24 April (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis ascended by Rs 300 to Rs 17600 per quintal owing to the strong sale even after the higher prices. During the previous day, the prices have gone up by Rs 500 per quintal. There were around 2400 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices rose by Rs 200/300 per quintal. The active contract went down by Rs 56 or 0.29 percent to Rs 19500 per quintal owing to the sluggish speculative buying. There is a possibility of temporary uptrend in the spot turmeric prices during the near future.
