New Delhi, 09 May (NNS): The prices of cumin remained firm at Rs 25500 per quintal owing to the sluggish sale at the higher level. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 700 per quintal. There were around 20000/22000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices gained by Rs 50/100 per 20 kg owing to the elections in Unjha mandi. The active contract declined by Rs 500 or 1.89 percent to Rs 26000 per quintal because of the sluggish speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot cumin prices may not show more uptrend during the coming one or two days.
