New Delhi, 07 June (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis reduced by Rs 100 to Rs 18200 per quintal due to the weak offtake at the higher level. During the previous day, the prices have gone down in the same ratio. There were around 2200 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in the various markets of the country and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract jumped by Rs 172 or 0.99 percent to Rs 17502 per quintal owing to the increased speculative buying. There is no possibility of break on downtrend in the spot turmeric prices during the near future.
