New Delhi, 13 June (NNS): The prices of cumin jumped by 400 to Rs 31200 per quintal due to the uptrend in the sale at the lower level. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 400 per quintal. There were around 11000/12000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices reported to be increase by 25/50 per 20 kg. The active contract prices ascended by Rs 315 or 1.10 percent to Rs 20075 per quintal owing to the strong speculative buying. The market sentiments may affect because the new crop has been started arriving in Guntur. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the spot cumin prices during the coming days.
