New Delhi, 05 July (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric held stable at Rs 16300 per quintal due to the sluggish sale even after the feeble prices. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 300/400 per quintal. There were around 3000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices went down by Rs 200 per quintal. The active contract prices descended by Rs 258 or 1.60 percent to Rs 15900 per quintal because of the weak speculative buying. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the spot turmeric prices during the near future.
