New Delhi, 27 September (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis remained stable at Rs 14900 per quintal due to the sluggish offtake even after the higher prices. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 200/ 300 per quintal. There were around 5000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices went down by Rs 242 or 1.66 percent to Rs 14300 per quintal because of the strong speculative buying. There is a possibility of limited uptrend and downtrend in the spot turmeric prices during the near future.
