New Delhi, 18 July (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis held firm at Rs 13500 per quintal owing to the sluggish sale even after the feeble prices. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 7000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices improved by Rs 16 or 0.12 percent to Rs 13336 per quintal due to the nominal speculative buying. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the spot turmeric prices during the previous day.
