New Delhi, 22 August (NNS): The prices of cumin gained by Rs 200 to Rs 21000 per quintal because of the higher offtake at the higher prices. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 100 per quintal. There were around 7000/8000 bags of cumin reported to arrive and the prices gained by Rs 25/40 per 20 kg. The active contract prices rose by Rs 250 or 1.29 percent to Rs 19670 per quintal because of the strong speculative selling. The spot cumin prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
