New Delhi, 15 December (NNS): There were around 5000/6000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha mandi of Gujarat and the prices reported to be at the previous level. The prices of cumin remained firm at Rs 22200 per quintal owing to the weak buying from the stockists even after the uptrend in the prices. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200/300 per quintal. The active contract prices slipped by Rs 105 or 0.50 percent to Rs 20820 per quintal because of limited selling pressure from the speculators. The market sentiments may affect because of the sowing of new crop. There is possibility of limited fluctuations in the spot cumin prices during the coming one or two days.
