New Delhi, 18 December (NNS): There were around 9000/10000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha mandi of Gujarat and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The prices of cumin remained stable at Rs 22200 per quintal due to the sluggish buying even after the uptrend in the prices during the previous days. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 100 per quintal. The active contract prices improved by Rs 20 or 0.09 percent to Rs 21210 per quintal because of the nominal speculative buying. The market sentiments may affect owing to the sowing of the new crop. The spot cumin prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
