New Delhi, 18 December (NNS): There were around 80000/85000 bags of red chilli reported to arrive in Guntur. It is expected that the arrivals of the crop may increase on seeing the new arrivals of the crop in other producing areas along with Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. There, the prices of this famous spice commodity also went down by Rs 500/2000 per quintal because of the weak demand as compared to the arrivals. Here, the prices of red chilli 334 no. went down by Rs 1000 to Rs 15000 per quintal due to the weak speculative buying. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 500 per quintal. The spot red chilli prices will not likely to increase during the near future.
