New Delhi, 23 December (NNS): There were around 8000/9000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha mandi. Its prices went up by Rs 20 per 20 kg due to the improved buying and weak arrivals than the normal level. The prices of cumin remained rose by Rs 100 to Rs 22400 per quintal due to the limited buying from the stockists. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. The active contract prices declined by Rs 195 or 0.88 percent to Rs 21880 per quintal because of the weak speculative buying. The market sentiments may affect owing to the weak sowing of the new crop. There is possibility of break on downfall in the spot cumin prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
