New Delhi, 25 March (NNS): Here, turmeric erode gatha asitis went up by Rs 200 to Rs 14400 per quintal owing to the higher buying from the stockists. Recently, the prices have gone down in the same ratio. There were around 3500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day in Erode. The active contract prices ascended by Rs 232 or 1.64 percent to Rs 14400 per quintal because of the weak speculative buying. The market sentiments may affect owing to the weak rupee against the American dollar. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
