New Delhi, 16 May (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis improved by Rs 100 to Rs 15100 per quintal owing to the nominal improvement in the sale at the higher level. During the previous day, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 7000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices went up by Rs 258 or 1.14 percent to Rs 14972 per quintal because of the weak buying from the speculators. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming one or two days.
