New Delhi, 25 June (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis fell down by Rs 100 to Rs 14100 per quintal owing to the weak offtake even at the higher prices. During the previous day, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 2200 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in erode and the prices held firm at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices reduced by Rs 454 or Rs 3.17 to Rs 13878 per quintal due to the heavy speculative selling, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is no possibility of more uptrend in the spot turmeric prices during the coming days.
