New Delhi, 25 August (NNS): During the previous week, here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis gained by Rs 300 to Rs 13300 per quintal owing to the limited buying from the stockists even after the feeble prices. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 1500/1600 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices improved by 0.12 percent or Rs 16 to Rs 13388 per quintal due to the nominal speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices may show uptrend during the near future.
