New Delhi, 01 December (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric ascended by Rs 500 to Rs 14900 per kilogram owing to the higher buying from the stockists even after the feeble prices. Recently, its prices have gone down in the same ratio. There were around 1700 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices declined by Rs 146 or 0.99 percent to Rs 14570 per quintal due to the weak speculative buying. There is no possibility of improvement in the spot cloves prices during the near future.
