New Delhi, 12 December (NNS): There were around 6000/7000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The prices of cumin remained stable at Rs 22000 per quintal owing to the sluggish buying even after the uptrend in the prices. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200/300 per quintal. The active contract prices softened by Rs 25 or 0.12 percent to Rs 20900 per quintal because of sluggish buying from the speculators. The market sentiments may affect because of the continuous arrivals of the new crop. The spot cumin prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming one or two days.
