New Delhi, 24 December (NNS): There were around 9000/10000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha mandi. There, its prices slipped by Rs 40 per 20 kg due to the improvement in buying and weak arrivals even after the weak prices. The prices of cumin went down by 100 to Rs 2230 per quintal because of the weak buying from the stockists. During the previous day, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. The active contract prices went down by Rs 75 or 0.34 percent to Rs 21745 per quintal because of weak speculative buying. The market sentiments may affect because of the sowing of new crop. The spot cumin prices will not likely to increase during the near future.
