New Delhi, 13 March (NNS): The sale of turmeric reported to be weak even after the downfall in the prices during the previous days, due to this, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis remained firm at Rs 14300 per quintal. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 7000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices went up by Rs 310 or 2.10 percent to Rs 14850 per quintal because of the strong speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the near future.
