New Delhi, 18 March (NNS): The offtake of turmeric reported to be weak even after the uptrend of Rs 200 per quintal during the previous day. As a result, here, turmeric erode gatha asitis held stable at Rs 14500 per quintal. There were around 3500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day in Erode. The active contract prices improved by Rs 150 or 1.02 percent to Rs 14928 per quintal because of the higher speculative buying. The market of turmeric may show nominal uptrend during the coming days.
