New Delhi, 01 April (NNS): Here, the active turmeric contract prices went up by Rs 136 or 0.87 percent to Rs 15700 per quintal owing to the strong speculative buying. Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis ascended by Rs 500 to Rs 15400 per quintal because of the heavy buying from the speculators and uptrend in the contract prices. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200/300 per quintal. There were around 3500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices went up by Rs 200 per quintal, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
