New Delhi, 04 May (NNS): during the previous week, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis dropped down by Rs 400 to Rs 15100 per quintal because of the sluggish buying from the stockists even after the weak prices. Before this, the prices have gone down by Rs 500 per quintal. There were around 2000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices Rose by Rs 62 or 0.39 percent to Rs 15994 per quintal amid limited speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the prices during the coming week.
