New Delhi, 11 May (NNS): The market of poppy seeds reported to be sluggish after the uptrend in the prices. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 50 per kg, due to this reason, the prices of poppy seeds Turkey remained stable at Rs 1350/1450 per kg. The new crop of poppy seeds has been arriving from March and April, due to this, the prices have remained under pressure due to the increment in the arrivals of the new crop. The supply of poppy seeds reported to be high due to the higher availability of imported stock and constant arrivals of the new crop, due to this reason, the supply showed uptrend. The rainfall seems constant from the past some days and the market sentiments seems weak owing to the temporary ceasefire in Iran war. The spot poppy seeds prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming one or two days.
