New Delhi, 20 May (NNS): There is intense heat from the last some days in some parts of the country of North India, due to this, the sale of this famous commodity showed downfall. As a result, here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis dropped down by Rs 200 to Rs 14500 per quintal. Recently, the prices have gone down in the same ratio. There were around 4000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal. The active contract prices improved by Rs 04 or 0.03 percent to Rs 16780 per quintal owing to the nominal speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain high during the coming days.
