New Delhi, 03 June (NNS): The offtake of turmeric reported to be sluggish even after the uptrend in the prices during the previous days. As a result, here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis remained stable at Rs 14700 per quintal. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 100 per quintal. There were around 3500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices went down by Rs 18 or 0.12 percent to Rs 15600 per quintal owing to the weak speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the spot turmeric prices during the coming days.
