New Delhi, 15 June (NNS): The market of poppy seeds reported to be sluggish after the uptrend in the prices, due to this, recently, its prices rose by Rs 50 per kg. Here, the prices of poppy seeds Turkey remained stable at Rs 1350/1450 per kg. Its new crop has been started arriving from the mid of March and April, due to this, the  prices have remained under pressure because of the increased arrivals of the new crop. The supply of poppy seeds has been increased due to the heavy availability of the imported stock and arrivals of the new crop in the markets. The market sentiments may affect due to the intermittent rainfall and temporary ceasefire in Iran. The spot poppy seeds prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
