New Delhi, 22 June (NNS): The prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis went up by Rs 500 to Rs 15500 per quintal due to the strong buying from the stockists even after the higher prices. Recently, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. The arrivals reported to be around 2000 bags and the prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal. The active contract prices went down by Rs 154 or 0.91 percent to Rs 16714 per quintal because of the weak speculative buying. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the prices during the coming one or two days.
