New Delhi, 16 July (NNS): the prices of black pepper remained stable at the same level after the increment. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 5 per kg, as a result, black pepper markara prices held firm at Rs 750/760 per kg. Currently, new purchases are being made with great caution by spice traders, exporters and wholesale purchasers. The buyers are avoiding accumulating large stocks until the demand for festivals and winters is met, in this situation, the prices will likely to remain under pressure. The production of black pepper reported to be sluggish in India, despite this, it’s prices have not showed uptrend because the consignment of cheaper rates reported to be constant in the pipeline from the other countries like Sri Lanka. Due to the sudden increment in the arrivals of black pepper in the markets, it’s prices showed nominal correct trend.
