New Delhi, 26 August (NNS): The sale of turmeric reported to be weak after the downfall in the prices during the previous days. As a result, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis remained at Rs 19000 per quintal. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 300/400 per quintal. There were around 2500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices remained stable at the same level. The active contract prices went up by Rs 6 or 0.08 percent to Rs 20500 per quintal because of the nominal speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
