New Delhi, 14 October (NNS): Despite limited fenugreek seed stocks, buying activity remains subdued. However, continuous demand from domestic buyers and the pharmaceutical industry, combined with low stocks in mandis, points towards the possibility of a stronger market in the coming days. Prices increased by Rs 200 per quintal today, taking average-quality fenugreek seed rates to Rs 8400/8500 per quintal. Weak arrivals from producing states have led traders to anticipate good profits in the future. Arrivals of the new crop are reportedly low in major fenugreek-producing states such as Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Considering the current market conditions, trading in fenugreek seeds at prevailing price levels could prove profitable.
