New Delhi, 26 July (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis jumped by Rs 400 to Rs 14000 per quintal owing to the strong offtake even after the higher level. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. There are about 9000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices remained stable at the same level. The active contract rose by Rs 376 or 2.77 percent to Rs 13960 per quintal because of the heavy speculative buying. Due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is no possibility of more uptrend in the spot turmeric prices during the coming days.
