New Delhi, 28 July (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis jumped by Rs 800 to Rs 15000 per quintal owing to the strong offtake even after the higher prices. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. There are about 13000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices ascended by Rs 700 per quintal. The active contract jumped by Rs 836 or 6 percent to Rs 14772 per quintal because of the all-round speculative buying. Due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices may likely to remain strong during the coming days.
