New Delhi, 31 July: The prices of black pepper showed heavy uptrend during the previous week, but its prices rose from Rs.600 to Rs.700 per kilogram in Pune because of the constant profit-taking selling. The prices are reported to be high from the producing markets and the market and also ruling at higher level in Vietnam also, due to which there is no possibility of downtrend in the prices and it is expected that it may increase by Rs.40/50 per kilogram during the coming week on increased demand. There is still five months left in the arrival of the stock in the markets, before this, the crop gets affected in Cochin.
