New Delhi, 31 July: During the last week, the sale of best quality poppyseeds reported to be weak because of the sluggish arrivals in the markets, due to which, the traders or selling the selected stock at Rs.200/225 per kilogram. The reality is that some big importers were doing monopoly and there was the fear in the markets but now, its prices are ruling at higher level in the international markets, due to this reason, the market showed heavy uptrend. On the other hand, the stock of old desh gets affected because 90 percent desi stock is being produced in Metai and kuki. It is expected that the market may show more uptrend. However, the adulterated stock has also being sold out in the market according to the percentage and the prices may increase because of the shortage of stock and the stock of Neemach line fulfilling the demand of Bengal, Odisha and Bihar.
