New Delhi, 31 July: During the previous week, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis jumped by Rs.17/18 to Rs.1 53 per kilogram because of the all-round buying from the grinders and stockists at the lower level. Similarly, it is being quoted at Rs.1 50 per kilogram in the cold storages. Apart from this, the old stock of turmeric reported to be sold at Rs.1 40/144 per kilogram. It is profitable at the current prices and it is expected that its prices may rose to Rs 50 per kilogram during the coming days.
