New Delhi, 16 August (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis declined by Rs 300 to Rs 16100 per quintal due to the weak sale at the higher level. Recently, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. There are about 4200 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract went down by Rs 410 or 2.84 percent to Rs 14006 per quintal because of the heavy buying from the stockists. The spot turmeric prices may likely to remain strong during the coming days.
